OTT Transcoder

Features:

The Transcoder converts input streams to several different Adaptive Bit Rates (ABR).

For example, one 4 Mbps input stream is converted to 2 Mbps, 1 Mbps and 500 kbps streams which are automatically selected depending on the user’s bandwidth, permitting little buffering when streaming high-resolution feeds (begins with low-resolution and increases).

    • Transcodes assets (TV channel or movie)
    • Supports mobile SD, SD, HD ready, Full HD, and 4K
    • Normally 3 speed profiles (kbps) are used per asset
    • Each speed profile can be packaged in HLS Apple, HLS Microsoft and/or MPEG DASH streams
    • This generates 3 streams per asset

    • Multiple subtitling CEA608

    *Many legacy devices do not support H265

    Features:

    • The Origin Server packages the video streams to HTTP deliverable format, process and responds the video streams to incoming requests from clients.
    • Both HLS and MPEG-DASH video formats are supported.
    • All storage for VoD, Catchup TV, nPVR is in the origin server and can be on the fly upgradeble.

    Features:

    • The CDN Server manages network traffic and provides QoS on IP networks. It is used for example, to provide low-latency on critical network traffic, such as video delivery, while providing best effort service to non-critical services, such as web traffic.
    • The CDN Server encrypts the video files on-the-fly when requested by a client device. Our software only needs one version of the streams, which can encrypt into the required variant based on the run-in request. The encryptor is able to work with a live broadcast, re-playable content, and content on demand (VOD).

    The OTT Server provides text, images, trailers and metadata for all content enabling users to browse between live TV channels, catch-up and video on
    demand. The OTT Server also performs login and authentication of users.

    Core Server

    • CryptoGuard CAS can run all of its core applications on one single server and can easily be scaled up for very large operations by connecting more sub servers with optional redundancy.
    • CryptoGuard CAS can be configured to support any topology of network.
    • One central CryptoGuard CAS Core Server can control many ECM Generators and EMM Injectors that are placed in different locations. Thereby, cable networks in different locations or different satellite uplinks can be centrally operated as one system from one CryptoGuard CAS Core Server.

    The SMS allows you to manage subscribers, client devices, content, ordering, customer care, billing etc. The architecture is open, based on a MySQL database and Linux, and there is a full set of APIs available for integration with third party systems. CryptoGuard CAS can be extended with the CryptoLITE OTT solution and DRM security. All DVB and OTT subscribers and client devices are seamlessly managed via the CAS core server.
